Soft Ray Door Glass (tinted or not???)
« on: December 17, 2018, 11:06:57 AM »
I need a driver's side door glass that is scratched up.  When looking in the catalogues I find "tinted" and "clear".  My spec sheet on my T/A says "GLASS, ALL WINDOWS SOFT RAY - $56.00".

I'm assuming this is "tinted" but wanted to see if someone can back me up on this.  The glass in the car is original but I just can't tell looking at it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the tint is a slight green look to it, not like what tinted glass has come to be these days. It's obvious in some lighting, but if not sure hold a sheet of paper behind the edge, you'll soon know if it's clear or green, or even original.

Scratched door glass is common, largely due to the bad design in the felts that wear out and then scratch. Be sure to replace these and upgrade or your new glass will be scratched also.
