'68 Firebird wheel bolt pattern
« on: April 07, 2008, 02:45:37 PM »
Well, looks like Kevin got lucky again. I think I posted about a '68 'bird he went and looked at. Well, the people said he could come and haul it out of there whenever he wants. FREE!  :o It has no title as the owner of the land is not the one who parked it there. (The previous owner did.) But who can pass up a deal like that?

So my question is - do they have the same pattern as the 2nd gens? It needs wheels to move easier and of course between us we have plenty of extras. lol I'm pretty sure they are, but I wanted to make sure. I can't remember what I had on my old '67.

Thanks!!
Larry

According to the American Racing Wheel website, both the 68 and the 78 share the exact same bolt pattern 5x4.75. I'd say you're golden that way. No idea if the backspacing is the same or not but for short distances, like rolling it up a trailer, you should be fine.
