Post by: Prettybird81 on March 19, 2007, 05:12:12 PM

It is a nice car -- and I like that first shot in particular.  I don't see many from that angle.  Thanks for posting! :) :)

They light up like a Christmas Tree if I stomp on the gas... :)  It's lot's of fun... like my own personal disco ball ;)  Everyone should have them...

I'll try to take a picture of my cool woodgrain flip switch down by the emergency brake... looked like a bomb switch... until i realized it's for aftermarked fog lights....

can everyone say "ooooooooooooohhhhh"

Great pics of my T/A's long lost sibling Jeri. Of course you know that I LOVE that color. The gold really pops on the dark maroon metallic paint. The only thing that I would suggest to set it off would be a gold arrow head for the nose. I got one for mine and it makes a heck of a difference. Very classy and ties in with the gold graphics and wheels. ;)

Beautiful car Jeri. Everytime I see one of those I think about the flux capacitor. Is she a one owner?

Post by: Prettybird81 on March 20, 2007, 07:14:20 AM
John... the gold arrow is a great idea... my red one is damaged anyway... one of those little things I keep meaning to get to.  It looks like someone tried to pry it off.

TinIndiansRule... no but she is a really super low mile car.  Under 19K.  She started in PA with her first owner and then was sold to a collector in Arizona... where she stayed for years... when he pruned his collection she was sold to a man in New Mexico... where she stayed for 4 years or so... and then she came to me :)  So to answer your question... 4 owners.

Flux Capacitor.... LOL!!!!!  It is a kind of time machine you know....

Wow, nice car.  I could hear you talking to your car when you took the pictures.  I am sure it sounded something like "turn baby, to the right.....that a girl......looking lovely....show me something sexy.....Oh that's it.  Oh yeah, hold it right there, right there.............beautiful". (snap)

Jeri:  I never get tired of looking at your TTA  :) I just wish I could look at it in MY garage, parked next to Ol Blue  :) LOL. I like the bird decal between the grills, below the arrowhead 8)

Under 19k miles???  I thought my mileage was low at 36k

Hammer... i am more and more in awe of your disturbingly bizzare behavior... at least Jeff can blame it on the paste... what have you got to blame?

Keith... you notice the smallest details... I knew that sail panel bird was there... but assumed all tta's had them... (like the standard turbo rear quarter decal) ::)  It just goes to show that she's very special... 1 of 1... ;)

Evan... The TTA ALWAYS looks good... I only look real good at 80 MPH flying by you with the tops off... at a distance... the turbo force smoothes out the wrinkles ;)hahahahahaha

Jeri,
My 14 year old daughter told me she wants your car.  She loved all the extra pinstriping and the color of the car too.  I think I am going to have another Trans Am fan in the family (YES!).

I'm not sure if i'm going to make it or not Joe... I'll be at Dayton with it, maybe do the dream cruise and hoping to do the bandit run... but that's not looking good.  GLFBG would be awesome but I think i'm going to get slaughtered in the judging there and at the Nats... never been judged b4... i'm a little scared.

OF COURSE I MEANT THE CAR EVAN!!!! LOL... geez... i'd hate to see what the wind would do at 80 with no TOP!!!  I'd look like a Maxine cartoon on the Batman ride at six flags.... hahahhahahahahahha!!!

Post by: 784mula on March 22, 2007, 10:00:42 PM
Jeri,

The shows are really not about the judging (UNLESS YOU HAVE A TRAILOR QUEEN), its about seeing the friends you have made & sharing the stories of your car with other firebird enthusists (and maybe having a few pops afterwards). My 78 is a survivor with door dings & the paint is flawed on the roof which is embarrassing for me to show, but I still try to make the best of it. Last year at the GLRFG I took first place in my class & to this day I still am in awe.

Im heading to the Nats also. 6th year. Do you drive or trailor? Last year I hooked up with Hitman on the 24 car caravan. Little out of the way but it was fun.

Nice panaramic shots Jeri.  That's one sweet ride.  My wife loved the pin striping on it.  It's a nice touch for a "feminine" TA :)

Jeri,

Looks really good! Never noticed you had the foilers on your car.

Keep em coming as you're definitely starting to convert me over to the maroon side of the force 8)

Ok I gotta mention it... In the very first picture you posted, what's with the Bait, Tackle, and Bakery? That's an interesting combo. I hope they can keep all the ingredients separated!

That is an amzing looking TTA, i remember growing up, my father had an 81 Z28 with this same color combo. Yours is a beauty. Odd placement of decals,  8) you chose them? Just curious.

It is odd Matt... I did not put them there... she came to me that way... i've had it about 5 years.

It's a unique bird for sure... the hood scoop decals on the rear quarters, snowflakes, foilers & pinstriping & a sail panel bird on the nose where the licence plate would go... i really don't know when all of that was done, i know it doesn't belong there... but i kinda like it so i'm leaving it that way :) .

That's the great thing about these cars....there as beautiful as their owners! You do have one georgeous beauty. Glad to see that you finally washed her after our last outing! Hahahaha! Seriously she is one fine ride. I so admire the way you will drive her anywhere! That's why we all love you though. Never afraid of anything. Big projects or long trips, you take it all and just go with it! ;)

hahahahahha... She does clean up reallllll nice Brock... Unfortunately... I haven't figured out how to make those long trips, stay up half the nite in parking lots shootin the crapola and still keep my girl spic an span all day... so after a punishing drive... the last few shows i've been too she's looked pretty sad... so you guys never get to see her this pretty........ and a prettybird she is :)

Great pics, Jeri!  I like the one showing the driver's side along the dune, and the old store.  It's cool that the setting carries such great memories for you!  :) ;)

Unlike magazines, newspapers, and other forms of media it is often getting recognition from one's peers that means the most. It is a beautiful car and the new pictures just celebrate the car's brilliance......and that of its owner.

Well said.
