I am wondering if anyone know's of a reasonably priced car shipper.  I have a Trans Am that I need shipped from Angola, Indiana to Fortuna, North Dakota.  The car run's and drives.  Any help would be great.

Try DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers) I think it's www.das.com  I used them 4 years ago to ship my 81 I bought on e-bay from California to Michigan, they did an ok job. The car arrived 4 days later than scheduled, but I hear that prety common with shippers. Good luck!

I've got a delivery reciept from the company that delivered The Phoenix. I can't remember the name but i'll dig it out in the morning. The car also came from Indiana to here in North Dakota. It took us a while to find someone who would come up here, but the guy told me to call if we had anything else.

I'll be around all day tomorrow, so if I forget by noon PM me and remind me. The paper is right upstairs but I'd have to wake up Aimee to find it tonight.

Ok, it was Heartland Transport Inc. out of Strasburg ND. The phone number is (701) 336-7789. I only dealt with the one driver since Pat was the one who set everything up, but he was very courteous, helpful and careful - even with a car in the condition that mine is.

You could also try posting an ad on uship.com.  I did that and saved about 400 bucks when I had mine shipped to GA from CA.  Sometimes you can even get it done faster because the drivers are already in the area.

After all the problems Larry had in even getting a TA to North Dakota, I was wondering if maybe shipping a TA up there was prohibited by law or something...

That last part is the key. ND is "off the beaten path" to put it nicely. When I tried UShip the quotes were typically double wha it would have been going almost anywhere else. And I'm only a 4 hours from Minneapolis. Fortuna is at the opposite corner from me. (North West) 5 1/2 hours farther still.

Hmmmm......Still looking for one.  Heartland won't haul to there.  They won't even go to Williston.  Still waiting on DAS.  Might have to just sell the car

You're having a hard time getting responses back it seems. Did you go to DAS's website and request a quote? It would be a shame to sell the car. I'm assuming you've moved and you're trying to get the car shipped to your new home? I'm an hour North of Angola, if it's temp storage you need til spring I have storage space available, let me know. T/A people need to help each other out when we can.

Well I wish i was looking for a stripper.....it would be a lot easier to find(I would need a male stripper though:).   I am not moving......actually I live in Canada about 45 min north of the North Dakota border and just need the car dropped off around the Fortuna or Williston area and I will go meet the truck.  I need the car brought to one of these places cause I just don't have the time to travel any further to get it.  I think North Dakota and Canada don't exist anymore.  Thanks for the help so far guy's:)

I think you're right about ND. I think it's just Western Canada though. They still aknowlege Ontario and Quebec.
