THIS SATURDAY'S VIRGINIA FALL CLASSIC CAR SHOW IS MOVED TO SUNDAY DUE TO RAIN IN THE FORECAST FOR SATURDAY.

For those of you in or near the Southeastern Virginia area, please, please consider coming to support the Sixth Annual Virginia Fall Classic.  This show, put on by the Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council, specifically raises money for the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters (CHKD).  You should know that CHKD NEVER turns away a family for their inability to pay!  Some of you may have viewed the thread I recently posted of images from a bike/car show and cruise to raise funds for the family of a youth with bone cancer, well that young man is receiving his chemotherapy treatments from CHKD.

So, please pass this on to some of your friends who have classic cars and turn them on to this worthwhile event, while getting an opportunity to come and visit a very historical part of our country.  By the way, the turret from the USS Monitor of Civil War fame is on display right here in Newport News.

I've been rather slow getting pictures up from last weekend's Virginia Fall Classic, but here are a few examples of some of the participants.  There unfortunately was only two Pontiacs in the show, and only one of which was a Firebird.  Total number of participants was 313 although I do not know how much money was raised at this time.

Looks like another great show. Real nice cars. 

Nice Pontiacs. Very nice Firebird. I like that Ventura...always liked that body style. What's not to like about the 428 under the hood.
