In search of Poly Motor Mounts for 455 Olds Motor
« on: January 14, 2010, 10:32:45 AM »
I have my motor back out and last year I looked and could not find any.  But does any one know of a place to get Poly Motor mounts for a 81 Trans Am with a 455 olds motor?  I checked energy and a few other places last year with out any luck.  Any one know?

If you can't find any, you can always use the standard mounts and fill them in with polyurethane window weld. Fill in the gaps and it will make them stronger and flex less but not as rigid as solid mounts. I'm going to do mine on my 400 before I reinstall ly engine.

Are you using the clamshell style mount bolted to the frame? If so you can buy the poly inserts they sell for chevy engines and just cut off the metal tabs. That is what I did in my car.
