HOW COULD I TEEL IF I HAVE A 400 OR 455 PONTIAC ENGINE IN MY CAR ?

How about some details about your car.
give us the engine codes off the block.

You can't tell just by looking. Externally they appear exactly the same. The cubic inch is cast into the driver's side of the block below the exhaust manifold and somewhat toward the front of the engine. See this page, and scroll down to digram #4.
