Thats so cool,you will always remember your dad when you turn the key.

I also have the key chain I gave him when I was 6, the only key chain he ever used. It is a rebel flag engraved with "Rebel to the end" Not something I would normally carry around but it's fitting. Hopefully one day my kid will have it and the car.
I use my welding gloves for oven mitts!

why we have here in Germany soo much good looking girls who have fun to wrench on american cars ^^

I do the same thing with my father, and restore a 78 SE with him over a few years, I think it's really good to do that thing together with him.
