Title: Tail stoplights/turnsignal/hazard
Post by: soldier79ta on August 31, 2006, 10:30:06 AM
Just wanted to know if anyone had any; brakelight, turn signal, hazard light problems in the past. For some reason those lights on the R/R of my T/A are non-op. The parking lights do work.  Any ideas out there?

First thing I would do is replace the light bulbs, or at least switch them from side to side for a test.  If you swap the bulbs and they still do not work, then check the wiring.  Start at the tail lights and work your way forward.  There has also been know out there for tilt steering columns for the wires to get pinched in the steering column itself.

Check the fuses?

It fixed my problem.

I'm with Brett....check the bulbs.  I had this problem about four years ago.  I read the manual and was convinced my turn signal cam was bad.  But on a whim, I replaced my passenger front turn signal bulb.  Everything worked after that.  However, my problem was limited to the turn signals.  The hazard lights and turn signal lights are connected.  I'm not sure if the brake lights are connected to the hazard light switch or not.

Check for any rust or corrosion build up inside the light socket.
