"Shaker" Hood
« on: April 06, 2010, 10:04:11 AM »
I am having way too much fun on this site..Ok the car is an 80 with I think a '79 hood. The scoop is just welded on, I dont have the air assembly etc..But in the scoop is a fist sized motor with two wires and connectors on them, I assume it controls the "damper" thing. Where does that get hooked up to??????

Yeah notnquite sure what a damper thing is. Did they make the shakernfunctional or something. It could be a air temp guage or something like that.

I didn't think you could weld a fiberglass shaker to the hood.

Depending on what sterotype installed the shaker, a myriad of possiblities is before us. ;)

Seriously, some of those guys down south can fix things up that defy physics.

Speaking of shakers, some guy blew his horn at me while sitting at a light.  Yes, the light did turn green, and yes, I was watching my shaker rumble back and forth with a big grin on my face.  Guess he was kind of pissed that he was in a minivan....:)

But I'll bet that minivan had wood paneling and tint on every window but the drivers' side, right?
