Star Wars - Lightsaber Projects

So.. ok. This probably guarantees I'll never get married.. haha.. but.
I got into making lightsaber hilts.
They don't do anything, they just sit there.
But they are really fun to make and design and look really cool!
Anyway, just thought I'd share some of the ones I made with you guys.
I've got 2 or 3 others I'm in the works of completing now.
I'm hopeful the ones I'm working on turn out how I'm planning, because they will look a lot better than most of these.
I like to think of these as a testing ground.

This one was for some lightsaber contest on making a lightsaber design outside of star wars. I chose ninja turtles.

Silly Padawan...

Why must you try to re-invent the wheel?

DIY lightsaber kit

Being a truly lazy Sith Lord type, I prefer to let someone else do the work for me:

Lighsabers

HAHAHA!!!

oh those kits are cheating.
you pretty much have a whole lightsaber in front of you.. you just gotta put it together.
I like the whole.. searching for parts that look cool.. cutting, bolting, gluing.. haha. all that.
I've got one I should have finished in the next few days. I'll post pictures when its done.

Hey somewhere out there there's a chick that really digs wearing Princess Leia's slave costume from Jedi...... She was kinda hot in that really.

Um, I guess I'll just admit that toy Star Wars ships are my weakness.  I've got most of the ones that have been produced over the years.

And I did still manage to get married somehow...

As long as none of YOU admit to having and wearing a Princess Leia slave costume I think we'll get by somehow... :o ::) ???

(I wouldn't think to make that comment, but just a week ago a surprise swung down a web and into the party...)

Um, no Leia costume here, but I think I still have all the bits from my Darth Vader Halloween costume.  I could probably bring it to next year's Nats...

Steve... you are a very talented man... and full of surprises... don't listen to these dorks... they're just jealous... it's one thing to build a model... hard enough... but you invent them...

so far i've seen...

raiders of the lost ark map that you drew
a turbo ta guitar
custom center wheel caps
mad, wicked and crazy cool t shirt designs
and now you've blown me away with the light saber hilts

what else are you hiding?

very cool.

Heck, if you'd show up in that, I'd pop for a Star Wars cake... :D :D :D

(Maybe we could start some kind of tradition here. ;) )
