Thanks Pointman, I will give these a try.  I contacted DAS and they want $2200.00 on a open carrier to haul the car.  For that price I would get it myself.

Wow! Their prices have skyrocketed since I shipped my '81 4 years ago, I paid $1245.00 for top load open carrier from Oakland, Ca. to Vicksburg, MI. I'm sure all carriers have bumped their prices due to fuel costs. Hopefully, one of those companies will work out for you.

Maybe prices drop during the summer?
With snow everywhere, I would guess it is harder to tow across the country.

try lilly transport out of sioux falls South Dakota they have hauled two trans ams for me under a 1000 each

You also live in Mich. A lot more traffic coming through there than ND.

Thanks everyone.  I am still waiting on Heartland.  He is trying to find someone to pick it up on dispatch.  He may be able to get it himself also(hopefully soon).  I tried lilly a few times but no answer.  Hopefully I get the car before summer ??? :'( :).  I have only seen pic's of it so I am getting really curious of what it is really like.

No, I still havn't heard anything yet.  I am not sure what to do now.  The car has been in Indiana for a month now.  Not to sure how long the guy will actually keep it at his place.  Hope I get a phone call soon.

Company was called Michigan West I think, I don't have the papers in front of me.  But hopefully the car will be in Tami's hands shortly.
