Yes but at this point I may be trailering the Y88...got a few more issues to iron out, it doesn't like the warm/humid temps at all.

Hey Brett, if you guys are interested in a little layover in Akron, NY on your way back, just let me know numbers as well as I can have Pizza & wings waiting. I'm about 4.5 hours from Saratoga so it might be a good break for everyone...

The show is a fund raiser for Special Olympics Saratoga. We are on the Big Field again for 2008 and expect 150+ Firebirds. All Firebirds, Formulas, Trans Ams, Firehawks, GTAs, Bandits, Machos, Show Cars, Street Cars, Race Cars, Survivors, Classics, Cruisers, Drivers and works in progress... are welcomed to attend. Join your Firebird friends and family. See Birds from eleven states and Canada.  Vendor Spaces available.

The show is a fund raiser for Special Olympics Saratoga. Minimum donation of $5 required for registration.  We ask that you be very generous.  Most participants give between $20 and $50. We especially thank those who have previously given $100 and up!  All money raised goes to Special Olympics Saratoga.

Here are a few important reminders.

1.  If you plan to stay at the official show hotel with FNONA, Inc. club members and non-member show participants, the deadline for reservations is fast approaching.  You must book your room at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott before June 6, 2008 by calling their toll free number 1-866-368-6900 to get the Firebird Show Rate.  Any rooms not booked in our block will be given to the general public after June 6 and you risk not being able to get a room at the hotel.  All info about the Fairfield Inn is listed near the bottom of this newsletter.

2.  If you are not an FNONA, Inc. member or have Firebird friends that are not FNONA, Inc. members, please invite them to join us.  We will offer a 2008 half year rate at just $10 to all new members who sign up at the July 5 show.  Please tell your Firebird friends about the club and invite them to join us at the show.

3.  Pre-registration for the show is not required, but you will move through check-in much faster if you are pre-registered.  There is still time.  To Pre-Register, please complete a show registration form.  Please write your check or money order payable to Special Olympics Saratoga County.  Mail your show registration form and completed check or money order to Sandra Smith, 2 Eureka Drive, RR#4, Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866-9031.  Please note 2008 Firebird Show registration on the memo line.  At the show, there will be one line for pre-reg and one line for day of show registration.  Those who are pre-registered are guaranteed a goodie bag with dash plaque and lots of other good stuff.  Sandy Smith will have all pre-registered paper work ready.  If you did not sign the bottom of your reg form, you will need to sign it at the registration trailer before you can receive your goodie bag.

4.  Reminder:  Show Registration form, show flyer, directions, hotel information, etc can all be found on the FNONA, Inc. page http://clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/firebirdnationofnorthamerica/download.html

5. The 2008 All Firebird Cruise to Mr. Ed’s Ice Cream and Pizza Station is free but we ask everyone to pre-register.  To pre-register, just drop me an e-mail that says you will attend the cruise.  The cruise is open to all FNONA members and non-member Firebird drivers.  Pre-registration by e-mail is requested by June 30.  Ed has asked for a head count to determine needed staff and food for the night.  The Cruise will stage at the Saratoga Auto Museum on Friday July 4, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.  At 5:30 we will Cruise to Mr. Ed’s with SSPD police escort arranged by FNONA member Joe Carey. There has been tremendous feedback from enthusiasts in anticipation of this event. We anticipate at least 50 Firebirds and probably more as long as the weather cooperates!  Please pre-register for the cruise.

6.  The next regular FNONA, Inc. meeting will be held at Mr. Eds drive-in restaurant during the cruise on Friday night July 4.  All members and non-members are invited.  The meeting will be brief and Ed will offer a special menu with food specials for all Firebird cruisers.

7.  All Participants and spectators please leave your bicycles and dogs at home.  Dogs and bicycles will not be allowed on the show field.

Thanks for the info Tom.

Let's see... A Firebird cruise to Mr.Ed's then fireworks on Friday night. On Saturday, 150+ Firebirds from 11 states and Canada for the show, then for you Rush fans, they are playing at SPAC (which is next door to the Saratoga Auto Museum) Saturday night.  Maybe the boys from Rush will stop by the Firebird show on their way to the before show sound check. :) Sounds like a good time to me. :)

Only two weeks away.
