Bodyside moulding
« on: February 04, 2012, 08:13:45 PM »
I hate the body side moulding that is on my car, for some reason half of it is brown and the other half is gold,It is the kind that the channel is rivited on and there is a rubber piece thats pressed in.
Is there any kind from a newer car that could be used  something like  from a  4th gen that could be painted to match?

Are they paintable?
I have looked into it and they don't make the gold anymore.

A buddy of mine has these and I've always liked them on his car. If I remember right, he painted his after they yellowed over the years. His are white. The inserts have to be flexible to slide into the channels, so I'm sure that they can be sprayed. After working on some of the body parts on my 79, I'm sure that these can be sprayed.
