Title: 77 Trans Am Rear End 2.56 ratio from SE edition

this was removed from a 77 SE edition car has drum brakes
 I just took cover off the ring gear has 41 teeth, the pinion gear has 16 teeth
should be a 2.56 gear ratio

I just removed the cover it has a a 16 tooth pinion gear & a 41 tooth ring gear. that should be a 2.56 ratio
is dated 77 stamped in pinion yoke
