Is the 403 intake manifold the same as for a 350?
« on: February 26, 2015, 02:59:18 PM »
My car is a '79 with its original 403 engine.  Numbers on block and heads check out.  My intake manifold is cast iron; however, it has casting number 411990 and ID code 16.  (The "1" is a bit sloppy and could possibly be Gumby summoning Pokey, but the "6" is pretty clear.)  Does that ID code match the casting number?

I read of an intake manifold with the same casting number used for a 1973 350 engine.  Is that the same part, and is it correct for my '79 403?

Beneath the casting number is the CFD wagon-wheel with the code D6 CE.  What is D6 CE?

Thanks much!

Used for approx. 76-80 350's with egr only, for 403.

Thank you - I'd happened upon that 350 info before the 403 info and was afraid I had the wrong intake manifold.  Nothing on my car surprises me anymore.
