Squirrel Cage Removal
« on: March 22, 2019, 10:56:57 AM »
I am changing the heater core on my 1978 Trans Am and figured while everything is apart I will also replace the blower motor.  I removed the nut holding the squirrel cage on the motor but it won't come off.  Before I apply too much force I thought I would ask if there are any tricks to removing this.  Should it just pull off after removing the retaining nut?

It's just a half-round shaft and a snug fit.
