Nice - what did you give for that if you don't mind me asking?  Junior is 15 and wants wheels for his 16th birthday.

Well, I wouldnt recommend this model for a first vehicle as it is very fast and powerful. It goes from 0 to 60 in about 5-6 seconds. In 2000 they rated the firehawks at 330 horses but I think it has even more than that, and 2001 to 02 had even higher rated hp. I believe the WS6 is rated around 300 or so but Im not sure. If you really want to get him a 4th gen TA I'd start him off with the base Firebird V6 as it still looks mean and is pretty quick but still controllable.

I paid around 17k for this one but you can get them cheaper if you look around and you can also find them for a lot more if you dont haha.

Thanks for the compliments fellas.

Wow that'd be a hell of a car for his first. I'm 17 and my first is my formula, but it was only $3000 but I've put a lot of money into it from my job. I'd do the same with my son, get him a slight project and make him get a job, put the money in it himself to make him appreciate it. Otherwise I guarantee it will be wrecked pretty quick. I could be wrong, and am not trying to insult, but I'd think twice about dropping 20 grand on a new driver.

Yeah - I might want to rethink it.  He's been saving though and I said I'd match him ... he'll be @ 5K probably by the time he's 16, so in a year, it's 10K.  The V6 might be a better option.
