New Forum Color Choice
« on: February 05, 2008, 06:07:59 PM »
Ok, I know you guys have been asking for this for over a year (probably more than that), but I finally got around to making a change to the Forum.  Some of you have asked for a different "Theme" for the Forum because the black background and white text was too hard on the eyes.  A while ago I did make some changes, but it didn't work out so I dropped them.  Well, I know got back into it and made a second theme for you guys to choose from.  The "Default Theme" for the Forum will remain the same, but now you have a choice to be able to change that to something that is easier on the eyes.  So, right now, the default theme will be the same:

But know you have a choice to change to a "White and Black" theme for the Forum:

You can change to this new theme by going to your "Profile" and click on the "Look and Layout Preferences" on the left:

From there, in the center, it will say: "Current Theme: Forum or Board Default (change), you can click on that "Change" in the center:

And then select the "blackandwhite" them by clicking on "use this theme":

Now, I am still working on this theme and some things will be missing from it that are in the default Forum theme.  The first thing is the "Menu" along the top.  In the current theme, there are extra links to places like my home page of www.78ta.com, the Gallery, and also the chat room.  Those (for right now) are missing from the new theme.  I will be going back in to add those at a later date.  The second thing that is missing is the "News" box in the upper right hand corner of the Forum.  The News box announces the "Hitman's Spotlight of the Month" and right now is missing from this secondary theme.  Again, I will be going back at a later date to add that.

But, at least for right now, this will give you guys a choice for selecting the over all color and theme for the Forum.  The new theme might be easier on the eyes for you so check it out and let me know if that is easier for some of you.  I know you have been asking for it for a while and sorry it took me so long to get around to modifying the theme.  Thanks again for your continued support of the website and forum.

Looks fantastic from my perspective, I love it and it keeps with the black/silver color scheme of the Hitman Trans Am.  thanks Brett!

Wow!  I totally like the lighter Gray look.  Nicely done!!!!  And yes, I was one of those who found the Black look hard to read.  ;)
