Topic: Which Intake for SBC shaker

I just got a 400sbc to replace the anemic stock 305 my car came with.  I am going to remove
the 305 complete and put it in storage.

I am planning to buy some aluminum heads for this short block and need to get an intake
to work with my shaker.

Right now I plan to use my stock quadrajet carburetor from the 305 and the shaker assembly as well.

I am looking for an aluminum intake that will give me the correct position.

I would have to say the performer intake,  they are pretty much stock.

OK thanks, that was what i was hoping to hear, the guy i bought my motor from has one for $25.  I didn't think I would be lucky
enough for that too work.

He sent pictures of it and it looked low profile so I was hopeful it might.  For $25 I was planning to try it.
