They were only out for a short time.
I remember going to Hobby Shops, and they only had one, if any.
I remember always seeing the Camaros at the stores.
I just saw one (a Trans Am in 1/8th scale) sell a few weeks ago for over 300 bucks!
I see lots of people collecting Firebird/Trans Am models, and Corvettes, but not many people collect the Camaros.
But, they all collect diecast of their cars.
Sorry, no discounts.

Hey George! I was curious. Do you have any large scale '78s? I haven't seen one in years.

Nothing bigger than 1/24th or 1/25th scale that I ever seen.

Man, I could have sworn that the one I had as a kid was a '78 (or '77) black and gold. I don't even know what happened to that one. It was probably destroyed in one of our many moves when I was living with my parents.

I know they did some 1979 and 1980s larger
1979 in 1/12th scale, a 10th Anniversary,and a 1981 Turbo Trans Am in 1/12th scale, as well as a 1979 and 1980 in 1/8th scale.

Is there a web site that shows older models like that? I swear that was a '77 or '78. I don't think I ever owned a 2nd gen model of another year back then. I think it was a Revell. Maybe one of those things I never should have gotten rid of because now you'll never find them again.

I never saw any web sites for this, but I never looked.
I use to do all the big model shows, and learned from them.
Just like all the train shows, gun shows, diecast shows, Hot Wheels shows, Barbie shows, Star Trek shows, Comic book shows,   Sci Fi Shows,.................uh, you get the idea. ;D ;) :o ::)
Maybe it wasn't a model?
Premade?

Sorry I can't help you more,

No, I know it wasn't premade. My brother and I each got large scale models at the same time. He got the big T-Bucket with the "Gold Chrome" and I got this one then we had a little contest to see who could build their's first. lol

I'll keep looking and let you know if I ever find it.

Thanks!
Larry
