Another thought since it's a days drive back to Toronto we thought we should leave Sunday morning some time. How important is it to stay till the end of the show? We could likely stay later if we should.

Sunday is basically the judging day.  If you want your car to be judged you have to stay at least until the judges are finished.  They do it by classes and try to be finished in time for lunch, but some years they haven't gotten to some classes until after lunch is over.  If you don't have a car in the show then Sunday is pretty much just a repeat of Saturday, except that awards are announced at about 5 PM (+/-).  You don't have to be present to get an award, as a lot of folks have to pull out by 3 PM because of committments on Monday.

I see there is a 7pm dinner too, looks like I should have planned another day!! I guess we'll learn from this year.
Is the Speedway gas stop at Lima the one on Lincoln Hwy?

I can't answer that one for you, because I'm coming in from the west on I-70 and that's the way I'm headed back after it's over.  Tradtiionally the folks leaving on Monday meet for dinner Sunday night but I'm not particpating as I have to head home Sunday afternoon.

Pack your raincoat - rain probability is 30% on Friday and 40% for Saturday - Sunday looks clear.

Or optimistically, the forecast is 70% no rain Friday and 60% no rain on Saturday.  What would the Nats be without an afternoon shower, followed by the sun baking everything 30 minutes later?  Actually, it is supposed to be way cooler this year.  Thank goodness!

Nobody answered my questions, I'm a newby and would like to know what to expect at the Nats, show some sympathy to a poor Canadian.
See my above post.

There is a group of us heading down on Friday morning (meeting at 7:30 along 401) if you are interested in joining.

Hey - anyone know what sponsors are going to be at the show?

Easier to buy stuff down there and drive it over the border than pay silly shipping/border rates  8)

Thanks,

Mark

Not going to make it over this year unfortunately, too many bezel projects going and behind on too many so any opportunity I have now with school and football in session I am spending working on bezel projects for hopefully future TA nationals attendees.  Those who had contacted me about possibly meeting up to drop off bezels, just get in touch with me at your convenience about shipping possibilities.  Sorry for that but can't take a day off in good conscious with so much to do..........

Think some clarification needs to be made.  Which Lodi exit are we using to meet at?  Unless I missed something, Brian (probably not going now) and me have been telling people exit 204 off of I71, which is RT83.  I just reread the original post and it says the RT224 exit of I71.  I have been asked this several times and just wanted to get everyone on the same page.  I think with all the construction at 224, the RT83 area would be a bit easier.

Actually the list of sponsors is different than the list of vendors that will be there.  The sponsors list on the website is for sponsors of the show.  Yes, some of them will be vendors, but there will be more/different vendors than what is on that list.
