Rear springs have been replaced before I got the car and r/rear is 3/4 inch back further than l/rear. both enter bolts are showing through the bottom spring brkt. Any ideas on what to do to correct this ????

Could also be a bent axle tube. If memory serves me correctly there is an inspection hole in the bottom of the shock mount plate to make sure the leaf spring is in the right position. If it is you may have a bent axle tube. Has the car ever been hit hard on either side?

Thanks for the input guys ! I'll check those possibilities out ,Any of these are possible and i'll check the easiest fix first. Should be some kind of marks on axel tube if it was hit hard enough to bend it.

Probably no mark on tube. Usually the wheel gets hit and that bends the tube.

"usually" if the tube is bent one wheel will be forward more than what it is suppose to be.  Bought a rear and didn't notice it was bent until it was installed.  Right side was 1/2 forward and the other was 3/4" rearward.

Could u pull a string from the pinion snout to a fixed spot at the end of the axle and then check the other side from the same center and compare?
