I HAVE A 1979 TRANS AM THE DRIVERS SIDE SUNVISOR DOES NOT SHOW THE SCREW THAT HOLDS THE VISOR TO THE BRACKET THE PASSANGER SIDE SHOWS THE SCREW WHICH ONE IS RIGHT ? IS THERE A LEFT AND A RIGHT VISOR ? THANKS DEREK

Yes, there is a left and a right visor.  Might sound like you have two of the same side.

My 79 is the same way & mine have never been changed!!
I was told that they may have just grabed one and put it on at the assembly line, don't know if this is true or not.
Damn now I want to change mine, but of course that would require
buying both sides to macth....

Yeah I've seen alot of cars that have the same side visors.
