ESC - Electronic Spark Control - missing or not?

It appears that I do not have an ESC (Electronic Spark Control).  I have seen photos of it mounted to the bracket attached to the "computer" and I have the same bracket but no ESC. 

I have a 1981 T/A with the 4 barrel carb and 305 engine.

Is this normal or do I need to start shopping for one...

I got my answer !!!

And, for anyone needing to know in the future....

A 1981 Firebird TransAm with the 305 engine...it did not come with a ESC (Electronic Spark Control)...
