Are the 77 Grills the same SIZE as as the 78 Grills?
« on: October 08, 2016, 11:07:57 PM »
Hi Guys,

Are the 77 Grills the same SIZE as as the 78 Grills?
I have a 78 front end, but prefer the look of the 77 grills.

Does anyone know if the are the same size?

Thanks for any help....

Identical, the only difference being that the mesh went from honeycomb style to the crate type. Be aware that the Pontiac grille emblems won't swap though, properly, the studs were different offsets from 77-78, and not often listed as such when sold.

Quick ref note regarding 2nd gen grilles. If they look the same in overall shape, they will fit similar years EXCEPT 1973. 73 grilles will not fit into the 70-72 nose properly and vise versa as the noses are different in design. Look similar but different.
