Bones, is that a standard 76 bird?  I am trying to decide if I want to with a bird or not on my hood and the 81 bird is kinda lame

go with the 79 bird then.... the 79-81s look funny with the earlier birds

I wonder why since it is the same car other than the nose.......I am not sure I like the bigger bird.  I might just not put anything on it, unsure

Bones,
It was great to meet you and Eroc at Doug's this past week end. It is always good to put a face with a name.
The work that Doug and Evan did on your car is fantastic. The pictures are just beautiful. I feel more confident than ever that I've made the right choice for my car. I hope to see you all again in  Dayton.

Back at ya Jeff - glad we were able to meet.  Trust me, you made the RIGHT CHOICE for you and your car by selecting Doug to do the work.  As you saw in person, he does FABULOUS work.  Keep us posted with lots of pics.

CYA in Dayton brother.

OK, so we're back from paint, washed, driven a bit and covered in 100% cotton sheets (high thread count of course)  ;D

On to the interior.  Here's what we're working with (pardon the body shop dust):

Replacement lowers

Rust but no holes.  The rest of the floor is clear and dry.

So we got a good foundation to work with and some good talent volunteering to lead the way.  So bring it on!!  Here we go...

I think you have a really good starting point...very nice car, I love it...

Where did you get the lower door panels from? Did they come with the arm rest pads? I need some, too...

The last pic of the bare floor is not bad compared to mine...the piece you are showing us is not even there on my car, I think Fred Flintstone owned mine...

Cant wait to see this car finished...giving me lots of inspiration to keep going on mine...
I'll get this done some day...

For 30+ years that interior looks really good.  Where did you get the door panel lowers?  I can never find them.
