I just purchased a 1976 Firebird, I am new to the bird world and hadn’t realized my Firebird is a esprit, the previous owner added Trans Am decals on the back and tTrans Am door handle inserts.
Is this weird? Should I have them removed? I am keeping the bird decal on the hood but i am unsure about the Trans Am decals or is this acceptable?
Engine is 400 c.i.d, 2-bbl V8 dual exhaust
Thanks!

really up to you... lots of people do the t/a "clone" thing. while its not correct its your car & if you are keeping the hood bird then might as well keep the rest of them. if you do remove them, easiest to use a heat gun on low & dont overheat the paint, but they will peel right off.

To be honest its your car, so if you like it then do what you want with it. As was already posted, TA clones are very common, so you shouldn't have any problems. Hope this helps,
