Steve Ames Private Car Collection(more pics added)
« on: March 24, 2012, 09:38:14 PM »
The Pioneer Valley Firebirds had the honor of taking a private tour of Ames Performance founder Steve Ames private car collection today. We first got a guided tour of the Ames warehouse and offices then off to the cars. They also stated the will start carrying 3rd & 4th gen Firebird parts by the fall.

This where the bird parts sleep before shipping

Ever wonder where all the SD455's are, 5 of them are here.

Get out your best Miami Vice garb for 2 iconic 80's cars

How about 1 of 5 Ram Air IV , convertable 4 spd 69 GTO Judge's

This has to be the lowest mile 2nd gen TA out there, 27.4 miles.

The documented lowest mileage Boss 302 Mustang in the country 2424 miles

Here's one for the ages a 12 mile 1977 AMC Pacer

Here's a 10,000 mile 76 LE TA, check out the rear console, the PO told Steve it was a dealer installed aftermarket item.

This 1985 TA has only 1240 miles

Just under 2,000 miles on this 85 IROC

Like it says 932 original miles on this 66 Mustang

The story behind the pacer was in 1977 a school teacher in Long Island NY., finally saved the money to buy herself a new car. She got this pacer drove it home, but it was still winter so she going to continue to drive her old car until spring. She suffered a stroke and could never drive again. She had no family when she died all her property was now property of the state and auctioned off.

I would love to have a collection like what but more than that I would love to have a garage big enough to hold them all!
