BTW Jay, I've decided that the color blue you have on your block is my all-time favorite.  I like that blue-silver sheen.

My engine is painted Ford truck blue.  At the time I wasn't concerned about the correct color and I couldn't find the color I wanted, so I just picked the color the NAPA dealer had the most cans of in stock.  I figured that would make it easy to match in the future (call me practical). :?

Until they went to the "corporate blue" -- which isn't all that far off my Ford truck blue selection...

the blue changed colors as an ID for the EPA fix to EGR as it was supposed to delay it working while the engine was cold,  not turn it off completely .it happened in mid 73 production .
