I'm taking my sweet time, not bothering anyone, and no one was on the road...................and low and behold, what starts to cross right in front of me????
Mind you, the roads were all iced over.

A darn Opossum! :o  Waddling ever so slowly right in front of me.  I was saying, "hurry up!!! because I am not slamming on the brakes or making a quick manuver to avoid you!  Your going to be someone's breakfast if you don't get out of the way NOW!!"

I just missed his tail, and he just turned around and looked at me like I was nuts!  LOL

I made it to work, safe and sound, but some employees fell in the parking lot and it wasn't pretty!

  • I find your lack of torque disturbing...
Hey, no one ever said opossums were smart! Actually, the ones around here are quite mean. Glad to hear you made it safely to work! Snow is manageable, but ice is totally different story. I commonly see squirrels do the same thing here, but they are stupid enough to run back the other way after they had already crossed the road.

I call that "Squirrel Chicken."  See if you can run across before I get to you.  I let of the gas, but I'm not going to do something stupid for a rodent.
Yes, it is a 79 Y84 SE.  It's in disguise as a base T/A.

That is exactly what it is, "Squirrel Chicken!" I agree though, let off the gas and if you hit them you hit them. It is better than killing yourself, or worse, someone else just because you tried to save an animal.

I hope you weren't driving the T/A?

I had a bad experience with the Marty once . I didn't get my passport in time for the NATs ,and one of the members here recommended border jumping

I'll hit a possum or a raccoon, but I'll make a real effort to miss a skunk.  Squirrels are pretty easy to bag once you get inside their head and understand how they think.
