Hello everyone, I'm from Minnesota.  I have a '81 Turbo TA, isn't it pretty?

That is actually what's left of my parts car, I don't have any good pictures of my actual car.  It's sad that I have better pictures of my parts car than of my actual car.  I've been trying to sell the shell, that's why I have pictures.  I hope to get a real picture on here soon.

Hey All!

I'm new around here and figured I'd say hi!

I don't own a TA but I do have a pretty nice Firebird Esprit. It originally came with a 305 SBC. It now has a 355 SBC under the hood. The engine has been worked on, parts include Eagle rods, Comp Cam & valvetrain, Dart II Sportsman heads, MSD Pro Billet distributer, MSD 6AL box and Blaster II coil. The intake is an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap, with a Holley 750 mounted on top. Exhaust is Hooker headers and Flowmaster system. I'll be doing more to the drivetrain this winter, just not sure exactly what yet!

I'm the 2nd owner of this car, and I knew the original owner. It was last painted in 1994 and I've replaced the carpet, headliner and parcel shelf since I got it in '05. It still needs some work on the interior but it's held up pretty good for being 29 years old. There isn't even a crack in the original dashpad!

Personally, I grew up in the auto industry, a GM car dealers son. When I was 16 I was driving these Firebirds & TA's around the lot and occassionally got out on the road (late at night) in them! I worked at the dealership starting when I was 13 as a Lot Lizard and Gas Jockey. I worked my way thru the place ending in the Parts department. I worked my way up to Parts Manager before I left. I've been living on the east coast of Canada for 15 years now, running my own business, selling food. I went from selling car parts to cow parts!

So anyways, hope to see you on the boards!

Pete

Welcome to 78ta, Pete. Nice Esprit you've got there. This is a good place for a Firebird lover to hang out. Stay awhile.
