Hey, everyone...

Just registered on the site a few days ago, my name is Robert (aka Tinman5) and I currently call Dallas home...Texas is a great place to live, but if I ever win the state lottery, they'll have to follow the black, smokin' tire tracks out of town to find me.  My Pontiacs and I just can't tolerate the heat in the summer very well any more.

Any way, I'm as hooked on Trans Ams as everone else appears to be on this site.  I have three (plus two other Pontiacs) and like them all for different reasons--but must confess for the shear brute strength factor, my '73 Trans Am is probably my favorite ride.  It's a 455ci/TH400 auto (sorry, not a SD, Cecilia), Brewster Green with a white interior, aftermarket American Sunroof t-tops (added by the original owner), Hurst dual gate shifter (added by me), and restored in 1996.  Here's a favorite photograph:

For anyone planning on joining the Bandit Run 2008, I'll be taking my '76 50th Anniversary T/A the distance.  If anyone from this part of the country wants to make it a rolling party, I'm up for it!

Best,

Tinman5

Wlecome to the show Jay. As far a performance parts for your soon to be car. Small block chevy parts are the most readily available. I ( myself) would look into getting a Nice 383 stroker for it.

Welcome to the Trans Am family Jay.

Hey, that Probe GT turbo probably isn't a real slouch and if your soon to be T/A is only an LG4 305, well..... ;-)

Again, welcome aboard and have fun!!

wow lots of friendly people on here the probe site im on people arent quite as friendly, look forward to meeting everyone, yeah this will be my first v8 my first car was a 89 mustang lx cant really call it a mustang with a little 4 cylinder in there then had a ford taurse, thunder bird, to my probe so my first v8 i will say im gonna miss the turbo an i should be picking up the car tomorrw gettin her early so pics will be posted as soon as i get it for sure, just one question anything i should really look for upon purchase i mean other than check for leaks an all that they said the only thing wrong with it is that you can smell exhaust a little bit from the smog pump but they said runs fine but you all know more than me and thanks again everyone         Jason
