It was a 455,.030.
87cc E-heads,ported to 326 cfm.
Victor intake,1050 Dominator.
Solid roller valvetrain.Cam: 272 duration @.050,.600 lift,single pattern.
JE pistons.
`58-`62 Forged rods.
2" Heddman Headers,3.5" exhaust.
Turbo 350,Ford 9",3.89s.

Unfortunately,a roller lifter went bad this past summer. So i was gonna do a refresh on this engine. But a buddy of mine reccomended going with an IA2 aftermarket block.
So thats the plan.I`ve been selling parts of my engine here and there;actually, the only thing I have left is the block and crank.I`m hoping that will be sold this week.

Right now,the basis for the new combo is:
IA2
Forged crank
Super Chief heads
BOP intake
Custom headers

I`ll keep everyone posted.

Thanks.
Mark.

They have supported me 200%.
They also never missed a race.
My dad passed in `04,but my mom continued to go until I had the lifter problem.Heck, she even races an `07 Trailblazer SS from time to time.

Mark,
That's nice to know you are using the '58-'62 Pontiac forged rods.
I have a set all ready to drop into an engine.
I was thinking of dropping them into my 1970 Ram Air IV engine.
Not many people use them anymore.
How high do you rev the engine?
I doubt I'll be going over 5,800.

Just wondering,

You`ll be fine with those rods.
I shifted at 6200-6400;for ten years.Never had any issues.

Mark.

Only he wasn't on the beach -- he was following the family bloodhound around as it sniffed out TAs in all the snowbird neighborhoods. ;)

Actually, I did look at about 4 more. If I had more money, I would probably own 3 of them.

You know, somehow in the end it always boils down to that -- not enough money.  Seesh -- that's a problem we could fix ourselves but they get so upset when you go to the trouble of printing what you need... ::) ::)
