My friend Christy. It's a 65 with the original slant 6.

Here's a pic from about 2 years ago...

She wants to redo the engine compartment and rebuild the engine - its got a slight oil burning issue right now.

Driving down on Wed, going to the show Thurs & Friday with the possibility of Saturday. Definitely driving back on Saturday though.

And if you haven't gone...you should. It's an experience. If nothing else, its a blast to people watch ;D

And yes its a BIG swap meet / car corral. 87 acres from end to end and they stuff stuff in there pretty good. Be prepared to WALK!!!

Heidi - I already pulled my quadrajet out to pull the numbers off it. Laura's excited to go on this scavenger hunt too! That plus the headlight bezels for a 65 Valiant should keep her occupied for a majority of the show.

Oh good!  Tell Laura to put comfy sneakers on.  Ton's of walking!

Heidi - she's going to kick my friend Rick's and my butt walking around the fairground. She dances (tap and ballet) and also walks 1.5 mi one way to work. I think I'm in serious trouble!!!

Justin - we normally park really close to gate 7. Hit me up via PM and I'll pass along my cell number. Could always meet for lunch either inside or outside the gates.

Bumping this to the top as its next week!!!

Anyone who'd like to meet up either Thurs or Fri - PM me and I'll pass along my cell number. We're parking outside Gate 7 (as usual) and can meet up for lunch somewhere. There's usually a food vendor right where we park or there's always the grandstand.

Tradition REQUIRES us to visit Hoss's once during the trip after the show :)

I am planning on attending on Sat. probably, depending on the weather.  I just spoke with my dad last night, and is up for it if the weather is right.
