I purchased my 79 solar gold 403 ws6 T/A last December right before Christmas. I went to high school with a family that owned a Pontiac dealership and all their kids drove either formulas or T/A's for demo's. All second gens and we all would sit in the parking lot and spazzz on all the beautiful pontiac's every day. With that being said for some reason I always wanted a gold T/A. I just happened to stumble across my gold T/A on craigslist and found out the seller also loved buicks. The last car I restored was a 72 clone gs flame orange skylark. I traded him car for car and he gave me a couple grand to boot with the deal. He got the car from a neighbor that was the original owner that had the original bill of sale plus the original window sticker  and build sheet. The car was all complete just needed restored. Ran great and everything for the most part still worked. Me and my brother squirrel just towed it with his truck to Portsmouth Ohio to a bodyman/painter that will finish the car. It will stay solar gold with new decals from the Hitman. I have tried to buy all the parts I can from this site to help out. I can't wait to see it all done. I hope nothing happens like I have heard from many of people on this site with bodyshops.

I have to agree. I love seeing the pictures of these cars driving around in action. It does have a great stance.

  • Put that hammer down and give it hell
Agreed here, too. It's one thing to see these parked at a show. It's another to see them owning the road. It's a thing of beauty!

Hey Tony, what are the brand of chrome valve covers you using?
I want to put chrome on mine but can't find anything  that only has the 5 holes that we need?

all 4 tires are the same size. 255-60-15, the valve covers came from ebay. They have the extra holes, I just cut the tops off 5 extra studs and glued them to the valve covers to make it look like every hole was used.

What size were the other tires that were on it?
The ones with no white letters.
Also, any issues with the valve covers with having the extra holes?
Some people have been telling me it is a leak waiting to happen.
I have a set of chrome edelbrocks sitting in my trunk debating on useing.
I thought about the same idea you did last week.
glueing some bolt heads to cover up the unused holes.

Absolutely lovely, i never tire of seeing these pics,

The shots driving are the best without a doubt, nothing like seeing them in action.

the other tires were 235-60-15 and no leaks at all even after a couple thousand miles on them.

nice post bro.  i remember looking at it with you on day one, and sending you the craigslist link.  hopefully the paint guy will hook you up.  this car was the inspiration to get my 78 ta and sell my 79 z28.

i wish someone could of taken some pics of you, 4speed and i ripping up I70 back in October in our TA's, those would have been sweet.
