Turn signal grounding issue
« on: July 09, 2006, 08:14:40 PM »
Every couple of weeks or so my front left turn signals (front and side) stop working - also the dash indicator stops working.  But the rear never stops working.  I'm pretty sure it's some kind of ground issue, but I can't seem to find out where.  Usually after a couple of days it starts working again.  Any ideas?

While I was reworking my front wiring harness, I found a wire junction in the harness.  This is were all of the front lights  tie in together.  (I think its the ground for them)
I was having a problem with my side marker lights.  They worked, just not as bright as they should have.  Anyhow, it turns out that were all these wires tie together into a common location was my problem.
You might try looking here.  It is located in the wiring harness that goes around the drivers inner fender well, just before the battery.   Should be behind the the plastic elbow for the air intake.   You will have to remove the harness plastic tube covering and untape the harness to locate it.
