Were can i find full lenth floor pans?
« on: May 22, 2006, 01:34:41 AM »
I have a 78 Trans Am that needs the entire floor. The center hump is O.K. but even the bottom of the rear seats are rotten through to the rear frame. I am looking for NEW full lenght floor pans all the way under the back seats. Anyone know where I can find them? I heard i can install 70-74 floor pans that do not have the catalitic converter hump. If so, who sells them?

I usually get this wrong, but it looks like NPD has them on page 95 of their catalog (lower right corner). They're $89 for each side but they are full length. C-12900-3A and C-12900-4A.

Thanks! This will work great. I just ordered them. Be aware that they dont come with the sub frame support and rear seat  support. They are all the way back to under the rear seat.

I wish I could have caught this earlier... I can get the floor pans for about $120 each side or $240 for the complete set.

I will be in the market for at least a passenger side floor board soon (I want to take the carpet out first to see if I do indeed need the whole length, or if I can patch what's there). Do any after market floor boards come with the seat mounting areas already attached, or do you have to save the originals and reattach them for both the front and rear seats?

Would it cost alot to have someone install it for me? I do not have the tools. I suppose I could rent something, but i'm sure this isn't a great thing for a beginner to tackle, especially with no garage!

I need more up front than that. The rust on my floors goes almost all the way to the bend where the verticle firewall starts.

Well, that's what I was referring to. Those longer ones still don't look like they go forward enough to cover what I need. Although I'm not worried about any cat hump. ;)

My 'bird kicked the cat out. We gutted all the cats in our other vehicles (other than the Caravan).    ;D
