Just joined this site,my name is Tyler. I live in Harrodsburg,Ky and I currently have a 76 4 speed T/A. I traded a nice 97 Formula for this car cause I wanted another 2nd gen car and I am tired of all the hi-tech garb on the newer stuff. I've owned a 79 base Firebird,an 80 T/A,a 79 TATA,73 T/A,93 Formula,97 Formula, and my 76 I have now. My 76 needs some TLC but is a solid driver and I really look forward to getting it fixed up. I am also an administrator of The Formula Source website but membership and activity there is pretty dead. I look forward to chatting and learning some things and maybe even helping others if I can.
Speed limits are for everyone else!

Hi guys,

I have just joined.

I put a deposit on a 78 trans am and collect next week. I keep looking stuff up and always find the answer on this site so thought joining was the best thing!! I am based in the UK. I worked for a GM subsidiary for10yrs over here in UK.

I decoded the vin using the info on this site and the car was a 305ci originally. It is now a 400 apparently. The seller "can't find" the engine number.I will post a photo on the engine id section and see if you guys can id it for me. Based on the research I have done Google images it looks like the Pontiac 400...

Nice to meet you all

Kieran

Hey yall, my name is Ryan. 38 year old and originally from St. Louis.  First post on the forum here, my first car was a 1979 trans am back in 1995.  A few years ago I retired from the navy, and decided to treat myself and bought me another '79 T/A.
