"THIS INTERIOR CAN NEVER BE DUPLICATED. The interior on this car is so rare that no one reproduces it. It can also never be duplicated because he bought the last ORIGINAL yardage of material left in existence. THERE IS NO MORE, PERIOD. The seats were redone with the original material and custom sewn with the same pattern, stitch spacing and thread color as the original."

Really? Those are the very same seats lombardy cloth and hobnail that I have in mine.... I see them for sale everytime I open up Ames Performance

"Due to the ultra rare color the hood decal had to be special ordered. Due to their size these decals are basically impossible to install without getting any bubbles in them. They had bubbles in them when these cars came out in the 70’s.  If you don’t believe me go look at any car with a new decal on it. This decal has no bubbles in it.  "

Special Order?! Yeah, sure, whatever.

And check out what he says here:
BUY IT NOW

There is no buy it now posted on Ebay however it is currently advertised for sale locally for $12500 [which is about the cost of the paint job]. Please inquire if interested in “buying it now”. Thanks

DESCRIPTION

ULTRA RARE ONE OF A KIND TRANS AM WITH THE BEST BODY AND EXTERIOR PAINT YOU WILL FIND ON ANY TRANS AM ANYWHERE, I GUARANTEE IT.

Yes I know that’s a bold claim however it is not hype. If you think your Trans Am might have a better body and paint job than bring your car and bring your title and the looser walks home. It’s that simple.

This is a beautiful 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. It is one of only a handful produced with Black paint and Blue cloth interior. IT IS BELIEVED TO BE THE ONLY ONE LEFT IN EXISTENCE WITH THIS ULTRA RARE COLOR COMBINATION. If you find another please let me know because I am helping out the Pontiac Historical Society with info on this car.

This is an original California car that has always been garaged. It is owned by a world famous car painter and was cosmetically restored by him, see more info below. It has virtually every option available. 402 motor, ps, pdb, at, ac, tilt wheel, tachometer, cruise control etc.  It runs and drives like new. IT IS DOCUMENTED WITH THE ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET. "

Really? a 402? 12,000 for THAT paint job? It looks good but not 12,000 good.

Oh my.... I got such a laugh out of this I just had to share it. I came across one of these the other night with the guy saying his rare trans am was rare cause it had PS, POSI, AC, and T tops..... Seriously, no joke. I emailed him on ebay and educated him.
Anyways.... Enjoy the many minutes of laughter that comes from reading this ebay posting.

Sure its a nice clean car but he sells it a little too much.........

Makes some BIG statements in his add, wonder if he will stand by them if some one turns up with a nicer paint job and he has to walk inside his house carless!!!  ;D

Good luck to him.

This is a great example of ignorance.  If you can't back it up then don't say it's that simple "I GUARANTEE IT." ;D

Yeah, funny I didn't get a response. Guess it was because I told him my 3,000 dollar paint job looks better then his 12,000 dollar paint job and that it's a 403 not a 402... OH, and how the "rare" seat cloth that he BOUGHT THE VERY LAST YARD OF FABRIC is for sell at every TA site..... lol      Entertainment for hours, I love people like this.

Should take your car down there with a mate, compare paint jobs.
Then you can drive home while your mate drives the new car you just got for having better paint than his!!  ;D

ya but for him to be selling this car like he is . someone suckered him first.  and at least he didn't say it had a BB400 with the original th400 trans.

really 12.5 isn't a bad price for a restored car. it does look nice.

Wild Bill, fyi, real Hobnail cloth is indeed very rare. The stuff that part suppliers are selling is a reproduction. The pattern from the reproduction is not quite correct. I'm not saying this guy has the real stuff but he might.
