Title: Guestimated Current Value of 1978 W72 WS6 Y82 4Speed Hurst TA
Post by: Dog-Man40 on January 21, 2019, 04:38:52 PM
Hey Team Trans AM!! I am new to this forum and love it!!; THANKS HITMAN!!  I bought my first TA in high school in 1989 and have been addicted ever since...I have a 1978 SE W72 4 speed WS6 Hurst Black on Black, all original with 91,272 miles.  I have had it for ever, the only thing I have done is I had the P400 engine stroked with the 461 stroker kit.  I love it.  Im not good at the whole "what things are worth etc"...but my buddies sent me photos from the recent Barrett Jackson auction showing 78's going for $75k...is this even realistic???

happy new year

Generally speaking, most things coming off Barret Jackson are way over priced. Its really hard to say what your car is worth over the internet but generally speaking, what you have is more desirable...75k desirable...not likely but one mint shape I've seen go for anywhere from $12,000 - $30,000.

Now....keep this in mind...I'm no expert, and this is just my opinion in the matter

Glad you found the site to share you car with...don't forget to post pics

Buddies only exist to exaggerate to and tell wild stories. Tell them you got it evaluated and it's worth twice that, but since it's yours and you aren't selling, who cares.
