Y88 T-top frames
« on: February 23, 2016, 08:14:44 PM »
I have seen the Y88 frames with black paint and frames without.  Since the cars were made in two different plants, did one plant paint the frames black and the other plant didn't?  Were they all painted black and the paint has worn/come off?  I have seen pics of restored Y88's and some had unpainted frames.  Maybe by choice?  Just curious.

Just worn off black finish, very common if never touched up.

That MKSNS.  I have acquired 1.5 sets of T-top glass.  The first was shipped improperly and broke the glass on one, and the second set is pretty nice with the OEM bags.  I've often wondered about the paint color as well, so now that I know I'll be painting mine black to match the car.

On another topic, I have been on the lookout for a T-top roof to slave in around the Maryland area.  However, I'm looking for a really good roof.
