Where can I get new gears?
« on: August 20, 2009, 10:24:33 PM »
What vehicles will all fit my car? If i need a new carrier or whatever thats fine. Just trying to find some options because the 2.63 sucks.
And no one wheel wonders. I would prefer full posi.

Just have the rear end rebuilt with a Posi unit. Cost me $800 and that was with a complete tear down, axle sent out for powder coating, new 3.42:1 gearing, and I believe new seals. I've been told the next one I have done will be much cheaper as a guy knows a guy who does this on the side :)

I just bought an eaton posi unit and 3.42 gears ... need to take it to the machine shop and get it installed.  I'll probably do the powder coat/clean up later.
