dont know what it is
« on: November 29, 2007, 09:16:26 PM »
Hey I was wondering if anyone could tell me what something is.  I wish I had a pic but the camera is dead and I have to charge it.  Anyway, its a small line that comes out of the firewall right next to the air conditioner unit( just right of it).  Its tiny in diameter and on the end of it it has a detachable connector of some sort that looks like one of those old toy tops only way smaller.  I have a 403 if that helps.  Thanks

Chris

Sounds like a vacuum line for the ac/heat duct controls?

There should be a vacuum tree coming out of the back of your carb, and it connects to that.  You should also have a check valve in the line.  I can post a pic tomorrow if you need me to.

Yeah, what you're describing sounds like the check valve.  Mine is half white, half black.

I think thats what it is I guess.  However I didnt see a check valve in the line.  But the line is melted some like it got against something.  I pulled on it a little and it came out of the firewall.  Can u get the line and connection end anywhere?

The thing you described as a small toy top looking thing would be the check valve. It will allow the air (vacuum) to move one way but not the other.

Here you go.  Hope this helps.  Someone else is going to have to help on where it connects inside, I'm not sure.
