door hinges
« on: July 13, 2006, 10:56:33 PM »
hi i recently ordered a repin kit for all four door hinges on my 81 ta and i was wondering if anybody has used a repin kit before. iwas just wondering if it was worth the hassle to try and repin them or if it would be easier to buy new door hinges. the only reason i bought the repin kit was because the price difference the repin kit was only $15.00 while the door hinges run about 70 to 80 bucks a piece. just trying to save money for other parts of the car.
got the pedal to the metal and the thing to the floor.

I have used two of the rebuild kits before with no problems.
It's a two man job though.

I have used the pin kits alot.  It is usually the pins and bushings that go anyway and not the hinges.
