Lovely T\A you got there :) but one question.. did the car originally come with a 400 or 301 ? should be the 5th digit on the vin number :)

Sad to see that people part out T\A's :( especially saveable ones

Frode ski, it's a W so looks to be originally a 301 car, thanks for that bit of info.

I started taking some rear interior plastics off and scotchbrighting them for paint, it's been going good but the seat belt things on the ceiling are desinigrating, so not sure what to do about that.

Very cool car, love to have a 4-spd!

Yeah I'm also dealing with the problem with my interior plastic panels disintegrating. I'm thinking about just painting them in their current horrid condition and just living with it.

yep, planning on keeping the Chevy for now, it seems to be a nice engine but still haven't look at the #'s to see what it's out of or the year but will try to do that later on today.
sCI I'm just planning on leaving the small seatbelt covers off for now all the rest seems fine but those, not sure why those are falling apart like that but w/e I'll have to get new ones.
And thanks BanditAlex I'm actually in Monroe Mi., but still only a half hour away
Also does anyone know if the duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint is any good for our console and the rear piece that the speakers sit on?

Well here's the rust I'm dealing with, It's the same on the drivers side but the pass. side has another spot that needs taken care of farther up, I not sure what I'm doing exactly until I take the carpet out to replace in the next few weeks.

Welcome to the site z.goddard.

You're at the right place for any questions you may have about your T/A.

The winter months are almost here and this site gets busy with projects.

Again welcome to the site.

Also RainMan could you tell me the color of your car? I seen one that was the same I believe and was leaning towards that or White with blue decals
It's called Martinique blue and was only available in 78  . I wanted a black T/A but this color grew on me .

K thank you, I think that's what I'm gonna go with next spring, hopefully picking up a 78 front clip this weekend also.

Probably personel preference :) I too like the 77-78 Front end best, although I would probably not put one on my TATA :P I think even the TTA would get to keep its original front end ;)
