Topic: Info for 2011 T/A Nationals

I don't get to compete this year, but we're going anyway, I think it will be a lot more fun to be able to relax and enjoy the show.

it was nice.  with a breeze and shade in the winners circle last year.

It is very difficult to win a trophy at this event and all that do should be very proud. In my class B stock (the $$$$ don't matter class) I have no chance.   Mine is a driver and I do.   I will never have my car judged, I let myself be the judge and I win because of the fun I have DRIVING my car and enjoying it. I have friends that I have never seen their car go anywhere but from the trailer to the show ground. I guess its a different kind of fun.

That said I sure do enjoy displaying it, talking and meeting  all the people that come around.  A great show to enjoy even without a car. If you have a love of these cars just browsing the field is great and then there is Tipp City.....

You know?  You guys are right!  I don't have to have the TA to go!  Just meeting all of you is fun enough for us!

Heidi, I've gone four years in a row without my T/A and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Getting to meet the folks from 78ta and TAC is worth the round-trip from Texas. 

I hope to go again this year. Although it again will be without my T/A; maybe some day I'll be able to take it, but until then I'll just enjoy looking and visiting.

I'm with Norwood. I also entered in class B stock (the $$$$ don't matter class) and had no chance. I park the car, open the hood and walk away.

You quickly realize its not about the $15 plastic dust collector, but the memories and friends you meet.

My excitement w/ the car is drive there and drive home. Its all party and friends in between.

Ya Hammer your the man when it comes to parking spaces.  I went to Tipp with 2 of the finer SD's in the country and look who gets the corner spot, Thanks.  I owe you a cold one or two next year. But the SD boys are thinking Norwalk and I know I can't  do both.

got my registration form in the mail Sat.     it will be show time before you know it.

I went ahead and booked a room at the Marriott from Friday through Sunday, and got my vacation time approved.
Now, I'll just have to wait and see whether or not things work out to where I actually get to use it this year.

Is there anything else going on other than Tipp City?  With my Shellby Charger the SDAC nationals have a day for a car show. drag racing, road course (track permitting) some sight seeing tour and then the bench racing and other stuff that happens in the parking lot at night. Is the TA Nationals have something like this?

Won't be there this year but hoping for next year, been wanting to go for 3 years now but money and time off haven't worked together to allow me to go. :-(
