Here is the Trans Am, in 2004, the day is was removed from its 26 years of undisturbed storage. This is as the car was, still quite clean. The car was inherited from my wifes father.

Here is a picture of the odometer. Yes, that is an original 1,999 miles! The car only has 2,300 miles on it now.

Here are a couple pictures of the vehicle after some minor mechanical maintenance and only a quick wash and wax. We also put new tires on the car, the square ones didn't drive so well!

Unfortunately the engine compartment has not been cleaned up at all. I think it is currently the weakest point of this car. I am not even sure how to really dress it up.

I will however post a few pictures.

Here are some engine pics right after the car was removed from storage. I have cleaned up most of the dust, but really haven't done any detailing. Look at all of the dust on the shaker!

I'll try to post some newer engine pics soon.

So do I.  In the early 80s I was faced with a choice between rampant rust or a rustproofing job.  I chose the rustproofing.  Now I have a car with vitually NO rust (the most rust on the car is in the stone chips in the paint) but it's a tar baby.  The engine also shows 30,XXX miles worth of grime from being driven.  Pics like these make me ashamed... :-[ :-[ :-[

On behalf of those of us who never inherited anything that sweet before, may I say you suck! (I mean that in a good way!)

That is a gorgeous car!!
