Thanks Dave I am just hoping I can get started on it soon. I have to go back overseas in about 3 weeks and it will be hard to do any paint work when I return without a heated shop which I don't have currently. Plus I have to get all the work done without the wife getting too suspicious. It's a surprise for her. I already know she loves these cars I just had to find one that was good enough to restore with the limited time I'll have available.

I must say reading the build threads on here is quite inspiring. I hope I can do it justice.

Looks like you're starting with a pretty solid car -- that's the hardest part.  Well, that and keeping the whole project a secret.  Are you planning on keeping the 301T?

The plan is to keep it as original as possible. I plan on keeping the 301t in there. I am a turbo enthusiast (currently have 3 other turbo vehicles). I will rebuild the turbo as it seems like the seals may be bad. Expect me to be asking tons of questions.
One of the previous owners went to the trouble to get the PHS paperwork on the car. It seems most parts are available for it so that's good.

My Y88 4 speed....#s matching....79,000 original miles.  I bought it 4 1/2 years ago and haven't done anything to it.  I've spent plenty on NOS parts to keep it all GM and will start tearing it apart, for its long restoration project, this spring.
