Here is my VIN # 2W87z8N115827 & Cowl # 78  2FS87 N 072763  74N  A51  11L  11U  10B  WS4 360143.
I did find on the web page what some some of these numbers are.  Set up a photobucket acct and trying to post pics so hang with me.  
Have been working late hours and didn't want to wait to try to show of some pics, so I tried taking them in the garage with minimal light.  Will try to do better.  So what do you think, was it worth the $4000 I gave for it?

hey, i'm from thomaston georgia. bout 60 miles south of of atlanta. i just got my dream car about a month ago.1977 trans am. it's in need of restoring but thats fine. i got it. i have been checking out the site and will be needing a little input from you guys as i go. this is a great site and it has been a big help already with some of the decoding. the build sheet is long gone so i'm still trying to determine if my interior has the correct compenents. it all pretty much has to be replaced. i'm looking forward to getting this project moving an taking part the bandit run , if it continues. thanks

yes i just bought a 1980 TA , this is third 2nd gen ive owned ,i had a 79 without t-tops and a 80 with t-tops  sold them both and hated i did.
